Since the slab was poured, things have been moving fast – a trend that we hope continues! Tomorrow our windows arrive from Germany. On Monday our structural insulated panels (SIPs) will be delivered from Murus in Mansfield, PA. It will be fun to see what our builders do with these “raw materials” over the coming weeks!
Pouring the concrete
Metal roof complete on the garage, window openings boarded up. Garage windows should arrive shortly.
Electrical service installed. Main breaker panel on the right, generator transfer panel on the left.
Timberframe for the dining/living area required a crane to install.
The dovetail joints slipped together with just a little tap with a boot. Too bad they’ll be completely hidden.
The timbers sat on a trailer waiting for us to be ready for them; and while they waited, they got a bit mildewy. Bleach and sanding will help.
Fir decking that holds up the second floor.
The hole for our dining room light fixture.
That hole is where the stairs will go!
